Job Description

PwC Australia is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Virtual Payroll Assistant for an ongoing casual role. This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from home while contributing to our dynamic team. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support our payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Process payroll data accurately and in a timely manner, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee information.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist with payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing clear and helpful information.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industrial awards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Perform data entry for timesheets, expenses, and other payroll-related information.
  • Support month-end and year-end payroll reconciliations and reporting activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members in a virtual environment.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in data entry and strong organizational skills

  • Competency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with payroll software such as Xero or MYOB
  • A basic understanding of Australian payroll principles and relevant legislation
