Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Mobile Security Architect to join our Enterprise IT team. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and overseeing the security architecture for our mobile applications and platforms across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in mobile security frameworks, threat modeling, secure development lifecycles, and compliance, ensuring robust protection of data and systems against evolving mobile threats. This is a high-impact position offering significant influence over our security posture and demanding a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive mobile security architectures for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with overall corporate security policies and industry best practices.
- Conduct thorough threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing mobile solutions.
- Define security requirements and secure development guidelines for mobile application teams, integrating security into the SDLC.
- Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and services for mobile platforms (iOS, Android, MDM/MAM solutions).
- Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to implement secure mobile solutions and resolve security vulnerabilities.
- Provide expert guidance on mobile security best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Develop and maintain mobile security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in incident response activities related to mobile security breaches.
- Mentor junior security engineers and promote security awareness across the organization.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 4 years focused on mobile security architecture.
- Extensive knowledge of iOS and Android security models, frameworks, and APIs.
- Proficiency in mobile threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices for mobile applications (OWASP Mobile Top 10).
- Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM) solutions.
- Familiarity with cryptographic principles and their application in mobile environments.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant technical field.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, or relevant mobile security certifications.
- Experience with cloud security architectures and integrating mobile security with cloud services.
- Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) solutions in a mobile context.
- Experience with mobile application security testing tools (SAST, DAST, IAST).
