Job Description

The Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Trainee Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel. No prior experience in maritime or rescue services is required – we will equip you with all the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this crucial role. You will learn about maritime law, search and rescue techniques, coastal surveillance, and environmental protection, all while contributing to the safety and security of the UK’s coastlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all aspects of the structured training program to develop required skills and knowledge.
- Assist in emergency response operations, including search and rescue missions, under supervision.
- Support coastal surveillance activities, monitoring maritime traffic and environmental conditions.
- Contribute to public safety initiatives, providing information and advice to coastal users.
- Maintain and inspect equipment, ensuring readiness for operational deployment.
- Work collaboratively with senior officers and team members to achieve operational objectives.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Engage in continuous professional development and ongoing skill enhancement.
