Job Description
Join our remote team as a Content Moderator, playing a crucial role in maintaining a safe and positive online environment for users across various social media platforms. In this flexible, full-time position, you will be responsible for reviewing user-generated content, ensuring compliance with platform guidelines and community standards. This role is 100% remote, offering you the flexibility to work from your home in Sherbrooke, Quebec. Full training on platform policies and tools will be provided, making this an accessible opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to online safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and moderate user-generated content (e.g., text, images, videos) posted on social media platforms.
- Identify and take appropriate action on content that violates community guidelines, including hate speech, harassment, misinformation, and other prohibited material.
- Apply platform policies consistently and accurately to ensure fair and unbiased moderation decisions.
- Contribute to maintaining a high-quality and safe online environment for all users.
- Provide clear and concise feedback on content decisions when required.
- Stay informed about evolving content trends, platform policies, and moderation best practices.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to address complex moderation cases.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of current social media trends and online communities.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making skills, even in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to maintain objectivity and impartiality while reviewing sensitive content.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication and content review.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
