Job Description
Join the vital team at BC Emergency Health Services as an Ambulance Deep Cleaner. This crucial night shift role is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and disinfection for our ambulance fleet in Gastown, Vancouver. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that every vehicle is meticulously cleaned and sanitized, ready for emergency response. We are looking for an individual with an unwavering commitment to hygiene, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during night hours to uphold our rigorous health and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive deep cleaning and disinfection of ambulance interiors and exteriors, including all patient care areas, cockpits, and storage compartments, strictly adhering to established protocols.
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents, disinfectants, and equipment safely and effectively to eliminate pathogens and maintain a sterile environment.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any maintenance issues or damage discovered during cleaning.
- Manage and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper function.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Document cleaning activities and completed tasks accurately.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure ambulances are available for service promptly after cleaning.
- Safely dispose of waste materials, including biohazardous waste, according to regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and a meticulous approach to cleaning.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and reaching.
