Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Bulk Goods Handler in Newman, Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for ongoing full-time work with the security of weekly pay. As a Bulk Goods Handler, you will play a crucial role in our logistics and materials management operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of various bulk materials. Full training will be provided to successful candidates, making this an excellent entry point into the mining industry. Your commitment to safety and teamwork will be paramount in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently handle, load, and unload bulk goods and materials
- Operate various equipment (e.g., conveyors, hoppers, forklifts) as required and after appropriate training
- Monitor material flow and report any blockages or issues promptly
- Perform routine pre-start checks and basic maintenance on equipment
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organised work area
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational targets
- Participate in safety briefings and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and following procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a heavy industrial, mining, or logistics environment (even if not as a bulk handler)
- Current C-class driver's license
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one
