Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Virtual Onboarding Specialist to join our Human Resources Technology team. This 100% remote role is crucial in ensuring a seamless and positive onboarding experience for our new hires, leveraging cutting-edge HR technology platforms. You will guide candidates through post-offer processes, answer their questions, and facilitate their transition into the company, all while working flexible daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the pre-employment and onboarding phases.
- Guide new team members through the virtual onboarding process, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Utilize HRIS and other HR technology platforms to manage candidate data and track onboarding progress.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions related to benefits, policies, and company culture.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners, IT, and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the virtual onboarding experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all relevant HR policies and regulations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Human Resources, Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS) or similar HR technology platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, virtual environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Experience with virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Familiarity with Canadian employment laws and regulations.
- Previous experience in an onboarding-specific role.
