Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Carpet Cleaning Van Restocker to join our dynamic team in Coventry. In this crucial support role, you will be responsible for ensuring our carpet cleaning vans are fully stocked, maintained, and ready for service each day. This involves accurately filling chemical solutions, washing and preparing hoses, organizing equipment, and maintaining a clean and orderly depot area. This is a hands-on position vital to the smooth operation of our carpet cleaning services. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately mix and fill carpet cleaning chemicals into designated containers, ensuring proper labeling and safety protocols are followed.
- Thoroughly wash, dry, and coil all hoses and tubing used in carpet cleaning operations, preparing them for the next use.
- Restock cleaning vans with all necessary supplies, equipment, and tools according to established checklists.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the chemical storage area and equipment depot.
- Perform routine checks on equipment for basic wear and tear, reporting any issues to supervisors.
- Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and chemicals, notifying management when stock is low.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including COSHH guidelines, in the handling and storage of chemicals.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Physical fitness, with the ability to lift and carry supplies (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or similar operational support role.
- Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment.
- A valid UK driving license.
