Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable HVAC Duct Tear-Out Worker to join our construction team in Saint-Jérôme. This role is crucial for renovation and demolition projects, focusing on the careful removal of old HVAC ductwork, particularly from ceiling areas. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and will be required to consistently wear a respirator to ensure safety against dust and debris. Training on specific demolition techniques and safety protocols will be provided, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently tear out old HVAC ductwork from ceilings and other structural areas.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively for demolition tasks.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), especially respirators.
- Assist in the setup and takedown of scaffolding and ladders as required for ceiling work.
- Clean and prepare work sites by removing debris and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Support other team members with various demolition and construction-related tasks as needed.
- Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
Required Skills

- Physical stamina and strength for repetitive tasks and heavy lifting.
- Comfortable wearing a respirator for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, demolition, or general labor.
- Certification in Fall Protection and Confined Space Entry.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- WHMIS certification.
