Job Description
Are you looking for a stable full-time night shift role with premium pay and comprehensive training? Mitie is seeking dedicated and reliable Industrial Cleaners to join our team in Chester, Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals keen to start a rewarding career in facilities management, regardless of prior experience. As an Industrial Cleaner on the night shift, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our client’s industrial premises. We provide a safe and healthy working environment, and your efforts will directly contribute to the operational excellence and well-being of the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of industrial cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces in a factory or warehouse setting.
- Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers (full training will be provided for all machinery).
- Empty and clean waste bins and dispose of waste in designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, breakrooms, and other communal areas to a high standard.
- Adhere strictly to all company and client health and safety regulations and procedures, including the safe use and storage of chemicals and equipment.
- Report any identified hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment malfunctions to your supervisor promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning schedules are met efficiently and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily cleaning objectives.
Required Skills
- Ability to commit to working regular night shifts.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks.
- The ability to follow instructions diligently and work both independently and as part of a team.
- No prior experience in industrial cleaning is required; full, comprehensive training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Any prior experience in a cleaning or industrial environment (even if not industrial cleaning specifically).
- Basic understanding of health and safety principles.
- Ability to adapt to various cleaning challenges and environments.
