Job Description

Orkin is seeking a motivated Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our growing team in New Braunfels. No prior experience in pest control is necessary – we provide extensive, paid training to equip you with all the skills and certifications you need to succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Complete a comprehensive, paid training program covering pest identification, treatment methods, and safety protocols.
- Operate a company-provided vehicle to travel to customer residential and commercial locations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify pest issues, entry points, and conducive conditions.
- Apply appropriate pest control treatments safely and effectively, strictly following company and regulatory guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about their pest concerns, treatment plans, and preventative measures.
- Maintain accurate service records, route documentation, and inventory.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily route efficiently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
- Good problem-solving aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- No prior pest control experience is required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing service role.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with the New Braunfels, TX area and surrounding communities.
- Comfortable working with technology for route management and reporting.
