Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Biomedical Scientist to join our world-renowned research teams in Memphis, TN. This pivotal role involves conducting sophisticated laboratory experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to groundbreaking scientific discoveries aimed at understanding and treating pediatric diseases. The successful candidate will work within a collaborative environment, utilizing cutting-edge technologies to drive forward our mission. Key Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and analyze complex laboratory experiments using various biomedical techniques (e.g., cell culture, molecular biology, flow cytometry).
- Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records, protocols, and data logs.
- Interpret and present research findings in team meetings, seminars, and scientific publications.
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Collaborate effectively with principal investigators, postdocs, technicians, and other research staff.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts, grant applications, and internal reports.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and ethical guidelines in the laboratory.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of junior lab members as needed.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a research setting.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blotting, cloning).
- Experience with cell culture and sterile techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Experience with advanced microscopy, flow cytometry, or animal models.
- Demonstrated record of scientific publications or presentations.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and statistical software.
- Previous experience in pediatric research or oncology.
