Job Description
MaineHealth is seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Python/Django Developer to join our innovative technology team in Lewiston, ME. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining robust web applications that support our critical healthcare operations, patient services, and internal systems. You will work on challenging projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Python, Django, and modern front-end technologies.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define, prioritize, and implement new features.
- Develop and integrate APIs and microservices.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
- Strong front-end development skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM technologies.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Ability to write comprehensive unit and integration tests.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in the healthcare industry or with healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7).
