Job Description
Join the dynamic technical team at Griffith Services Club as a Gaming Machine Technician. This critical role involves the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of our extensive fleet of electronic gaming machines. You will ensure optimal performance, compliance with regulatory standards, and an enjoyable experience for our patrons. This is an on-site position requiring a hands-on approach to keep our gaming floor operational and at the forefront of technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and thorough checks on all electronic gaming machines.
- Diagnose and efficiently repair technical issues, including hardware and software malfunctions.
- Install, configure, and test new gaming machines and system upgrades.
- Maintain precise and detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
- Ensure strict compliance of all gaming machines with NSW regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to technical service calls from gaming floor staff.
- Manage parts inventory, initiate orders for replacements, and track usage.
- Provide technical support and foundational training to gaming floor personnel regarding machine operations and basic fault identification.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficiency in utilizing diagnostic tools and electronic testing equipment.
- Foundational understanding of electronics, mechanical systems, and computer hardware.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal communication skills for clear interaction with staff and management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a current NSW Gaming Machine Technician Licence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience (e.g., 2+ years) as a Gaming Machine Technician or in a similar electronics repair/maintenance role.
- Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Electronic Engineering, Electrotechnology, or a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with various gaming machine manufacturers (e.g., Aristocrat, IGT, Ainsworth) and their proprietary systems.
- Experience with computerised ticketing systems and inventory management software.
- Current NSW Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) certificate.
