Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly creative Senior Video Editor to join our dynamic in-house marketing and communications team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for conceptualising, editing, and delivering high-quality video content that supports our brand storytelling, internal communications, product launches, and digital campaigns. You will work on diverse projects, from corporate narratives and technical explainers to promotional materials and event coverage, ensuring all video assets align with our brand guidelines and strategic objectives. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned editor to lead projects, mentor junior team members, and significantly impact our visual communications strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end video editing process, from initial concept to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing managers, communications specialists, and subject matter experts, to understand project briefs and objectives.
- Develop compelling narratives and visual treatments that effectively communicate complex information and engage target audiences.
- Perform advanced video editing, colour grading, audio mixing, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance storytelling.
- Manage and organise video assets, maintaining a well-structured archive and efficient workflow.
- Provide creative direction and feedback to junior editors and external production teams as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends, editing software, and best practices to continually elevate our video content.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines, legal requirements, and accessibility standards.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of professional video editing experience, preferably in a corporate, agency, or broadcast environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Media Encoder.
- Strong understanding of video production workflows, including pre-production, production, and post-production.
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling narratives and visual stories.
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics, timing, and sound.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and work effectively in a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with 3D animation software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender).
- Familiarity with drone footage editing and regulations.
- Experience working with technical or defence-related subject matter.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of video editing styles and projects.
