Job Description
We are urgently seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher / Kitchen Steward to join our culinary team with an immediate start. This vital role is crucial to maintaining the cleanliness and operational flow of our bustling kitchen. No prior experience is required, as we are prepared to offer comprehensive training to the right candidate who is eager to learn and contribute to a high-energy environment. You will play a key part in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly, supporting our chefs and cooks by maintaining a clean and organized workspace, allowing them to focus on crafting exceptional dishes.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing machinery and handwash items as needed.
- Sort and stack clean dishes, glassware, and utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, kitchen floors, and other work surfaces.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep tasks as directed by kitchen management.
- Remove trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal.
- Store clean equipment and supplies in designated areas.
- Adhere to all sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow.
Required Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation principles.
- Team-oriented attitude.
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
