Job Description
We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable Cat Café Host / Barista to join our friendly team at Purrfect Paws Café. This role is perfect for someone who loves animals, enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere, and has a passion for serving high-quality beverages. You’ll be at the heart of our unique environment, ensuring our guests have a memorable experience surrounded by our adorable feline residents. Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role, including barista skills and cat welfare protocols, so no prior experience in a café is necessary, just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome all guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty drinks, following café standards.
- Handle food orders and light food preparation, ensuring freshness and presentation.
- Process transactions accurately using a POS system and handle cash/card payments.
- Maintain a clean and tidy café environment, including cat play areas and customer seating.
- Monitor cat welfare and ensure a safe, calm environment for all resident felines and guests.
- Educate guests on cat café rules and best practices for interacting with our cats.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking supplies.
- Engage with guests, answer questions about our cats, and share information about our adoption program.
- Support the team in maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer service.
