Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our growing team in Warrington. This role involves performing a variety of grounds care tasks to ensure the high standard of our clients’ outdoor spaces. You will be responsible for the upkeep and presentation of diverse landscapes, working both independently and as part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine lawn care, including mowing, strimming, and edging.
- Undertake planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching of flowerbeds and shrubberies.
- Operate and maintain a range of grounds maintenance machinery and equipment safely.
- Ensure pathways, car parks, and communal areas are clean and free of debris.
- Report any hazards, damage, or maintenance issues observed on client sites.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and gritting.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients as required.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual outdoor work in various weather conditions.
- Ability to operate basic grounds maintenance equipment (e.g., mowers, strimmers).
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor role.
- Full UK driving licence.
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of horticulture and plant care.
