Job Description
Are you passionate about building community and supporting your peers? Greystar Student Housing Solutions is seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as a Student Housing Resident Advisor (RA). This is a unique live-in opportunity where you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the residential experience for students, all while enjoying a significant rent discount on your housing. As an RA, you will be the front-line support for residents, fostering a positive living environment, organizing engaging activities, and ensuring community standards are maintained. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop leadership skills, gain practical experience in residential life, and make a tangible difference in students’ lives. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary, just a commitment to service and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact and resource for residents within an assigned area.
- Develop and implement engaging social and educational programs and events to foster community building.
- Mediate conflicts and provide peer support and guidance to residents.
- Enforce community policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful living environment.
- Conduct regular rounds and check-ins to monitor the well-being and safety of residents.
- Respond to emergency situations and crisis interventions as needed, following established protocols.
- Collaborate with professional staff to address resident concerns and facilitate positive outcomes.
- Assist with move-in and move-out procedures, as well as administrative tasks.
- Participate in mandatory training sessions, staff meetings, and duty rotations.
- Promote an inclusive and welcoming environment for all residents.
- Connect residents with campus and community resources as appropriate.
Required Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Availability for evening, weekend, and on-call duty rotations.

- Must be currently enrolled as a student in a higher education institution.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in leadership roles (e.g., student government, club officer, volunteer).
- Experience with event planning or program coordination.
- Familiarity with residential life principles and student development theories.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
