Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our highly skilled team in Geelong. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to paediatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
  • Participate in ward rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and relevant professional standards.
  • Actively participate in professional development activities supported by the fund.

Required Skills

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Demonstrated experience in paediatric nursing.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with children and families.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Nursing or equivalent.
  • Experience in a tertiary paediatric setting.
  • Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) or equivalent certification.
