Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paediatric Nurse to join our highly skilled team in Geelong. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to paediatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
- Participate in ward rounds and contribute to clinical decision-making.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and relevant professional standards.
- Actively participate in professional development activities supported by the fund.
Required Skills
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric nursing.
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with children and families.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Nursing or equivalent.
- Experience in a tertiary paediatric setting.
- Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) or equivalent certification.
