Job Description

Cape Breton Pumping Services Inc. is seeking a dedicated Septic Tank Pumping Helper to join our growing team in Port Hood. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead technicians with the setup and operation of septic tank pumping equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, hoses, and service vehicles.
- Help with the location and uncovering of septic tank access points.
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed at job sites.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service vehicle and equipment.
- Learn and apply best practices for waste disposal and environmental compliance.
- Perform other general labor duties as assigned to support operations.
Required Skills
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous tasks.
- Willingness to work in outdoor conditions, sometimes in challenging weather.
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Nova Scotia Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with hand tools.
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, or outdoor work.
