Job Description
We are seeking a talented and proactive Power BI Analyst to join our Data & Analytics team based in Warrington. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across various departments. You will leverage your expertise in Power BI to design, develop, and maintain robust reports and dashboards, enabling our stakeholders to understand performance, identify trends, and optimise operations. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements.
- Connect to various data sources, perform data modelling, and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand their analytical needs and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.
- Optimise Power BI reports for performance and user experience.
- Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
- Document technical specifications for reports and dashboards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data quality issues, working with data engineering teams to resolve them.
- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Power BI Desktop (DAX, M-Query).
- Solid understanding of data modelling principles and relational databases.
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics).
- Experience with Azure data services (e.g., Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory).
- Familiarity with other data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and predictive modelling concepts.
- Experience within the utilities or similar regulated industry.
