Job Description

No prior experience in retail is required, as we provide comprehensive training to ensure you succeed. Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with inquiries and product selections in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
- Maintain an organized and clean sales floor, including stocking shelves and arranging displays
- Educate customers about product features, benefits, and promotions
- Handle customer concerns and provide effective solutions with the support of team leads
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales goals and maintain store standards
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving and merchandising products
Required Skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members
- Strong willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing retail environments
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service
- Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with various product categories offered at Canadian Tire
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role (not required, but a plus)
