Job Description
We are seeking reliable and skilled Flat Pack Specialists for casual day work, focusing on home assembly services in the Echuca area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are handy, detail-oriented, and enjoy working independently. As a Flat Pack Specialist, you will be responsible for travelling to customer homes to professionally assemble a variety of flat-pack furniture items, ensuring high-quality results and excellent customer satisfaction. This role offers flexible hours, allowing you to manage your own schedule and take on assignments as they suit you.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer residences within the Echuca region as scheduled.
- Efficiently and accurately assemble various types of flat-pack furniture (e.g., beds, wardrobes, tables, desks).
- Inspect furniture components for damage prior to assembly and report any issues.
- Ensure all assembled items are stable, secure, and meet quality standards.
- Provide clear and friendly communication with customers, answering any questions they may have.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area within the customer's home.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices during assembly.
- Manage your own tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with flat-pack furniture assembly or similar hands-on work.
- Strong manual dexterity and spatial reasoning skills.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and diagrams accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Possession of basic hand and power tools required for furniture assembly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous professional experience as a furniture assembler or handyman.
- Own reliable transport and a valid driver's license.
- ABN (Australian Business Number) or willingness to obtain one.
- Public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain).
