Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Livestock Feed Hand to join our team in Blacktown. This is a crucial full-time, on-site role that involves manual handling and the operation of basic machinery within a dynamic agricultural setting. If you’re reliable, have a strong work ethic, and are ready for a physically demanding role with weekly pay, we encourage you to apply. Full training will be provided, but a willingness to learn and work effectively in a team is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and mix feed formulations according to strict guidelines.
  • Load and unload feed ingredients and finished feed bags manually and using equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other relevant machinery safely and efficiently (training provided if necessary).
  • Monitor feed quality and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the feed preparation area and storage facilities.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist with general farm duties as required.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy bags (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
  • Reliability and a strong commitment to punctuality.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
  • Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.
  • Willingness to work in a demanding environment that can be dusty or noisy at times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a farm, warehouse, or manual labour role.
  • Current forklift license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for record-keeping.
