Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Paper Mill Labourer to join our stable, large-scale industrial team in Bairnsdale. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in manufacturing and gain valuable experience in a vital industry. As a Labourer, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our paper mill, assisting with various tasks to ensure efficient production and a safe working environment. Full training will be provided to successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of raw materials and finished products.
- Operate basic machinery and equipment under supervision after appropriate training.
- Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning work areas, machinery, and equipment.
- Monitor production lines for any abnormalities and report issues to supervisors.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures meticulously to ensure a hazard-free workplace.
- Support skilled tradespeople and operators with various tasks as required.
- Participate in manual handling tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including quality control standards.
