Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Farm Animal Feeders for morning shifts at our Werribee farm. This is an entry-level position, and no prior experience with animal care or farm work is required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training to ensure you are confident and capable in all aspects of the role. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and distribute feed according to established schedules and dietary requirements for various farm animals.
  • Monitor animal health and behaviour, reporting any concerns or abnormalities to the farm supervisor immediately.
  • Clean and maintain feeding areas, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
  • Assist with moving animals between enclosures as needed, following safety protocols.
  • Ensure fresh water is always available to animals.
  • Operate and maintain basic farm equipment safely (training provided).
  • Maintain accurate records of feeding times and quantities.
  • Adhere to all animal welfare guidelines and farm safety procedures.

Required Skills

  • No prior experience required; full training provided.
  • Reliability and punctuality for early morning shifts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness and capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
  • A strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
  • A genuine interest in animal welfare and care.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Australian driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Ability to commit to a long-term role.
  • Experience working in outdoor environments, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Basic understanding of animal behaviour (not essential, but a bonus).
