GardaWorld is seeking motivated individuals to join our team as an Armored Car Cash Transit Guard (Trainee) in Kamloops, BC. This is an incredible opportunity for those with no prior experience in security or firearms, as we provide comprehensive, paid firearms training to ensure you are fully equipped for success. As a trainee, you will learn the fundamentals of secure cash transportation, defensive driving techniques, and tactical operations under the guidance of experienced professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in all paid training sessions, including firearms proficiency and defensive tactics.
- Learn and adhere to all standard operating procedures for the secure transport of currency and valuables.
- Assist experienced guards in the safe loading, unloading, and secure delivery of cash and other assets.
- Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Operate armored vehicles safely and according to established routes and schedules.
- Complete accurate paperwork and electronic logs related to transit activities.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and dispatch.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Required Skills
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record (Class 5 or equivalent).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) for restricted firearms (training provided).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid BC Security Worker License (assistance provided).
- Clean criminal record check and credit check.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy bags (up to 50 lbs) and perform duties requiring physical exertion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or a public-facing role.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification.
- Familiarity with local Kamloops area geography.
