Job Description

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and reliable Virtual Document Verifier to join our remote team. This is a fully remote position, perfect for individuals who thrive in an independent yet supportive work environment. As a Virtual Document Verifier, you will be responsible for accurately reviewing and verifying identity documents, such as passports and government-issued IDs, submitted by our customers. Full, comprehensive training will be provided, so no prior experience in document verification is necessary. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to accuracy will be crucial in safeguarding our customers’ information and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately review and verify various types of identity documents (e.g., passports, driver's licenses, state IDs) against established guidelines.
  • Cross-reference information from identity documents with internal records and databases to ensure authenticity and identify discrepancies.
  • Adhere strictly to all company policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards related to document verification and data privacy.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all verification tasks to prevent errors and mitigate risk.
  • Input and update customer information and verification statuses into secure computer systems with precision.
  • Proactively identify and escalate suspicious documents, potential fraud, or complex verification cases to senior team members.
  • Manage a queue of verification requests efficiently to meet daily targets and service level agreements.
  • Participate actively in ongoing training sessions and continuous learning to stay updated on best practices and evolving fraud detection techniques.
