Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Change Lead with a strong focus on corporate culture to join our team in Mackay. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving cultural transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and positive employee experience. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and embedding change programs that enhance our corporate culture across various departments and operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies specifically tailored to corporate culture initiatives.
- Conduct cultural assessments and analyses to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define desired cultural outcomes and integrate them into change plans.
- Design and deliver engaging communication strategies to ensure clear understanding and buy-in for cultural change.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and employee engagement activities to embed new cultural norms and behaviors.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, making data-driven adjustments as necessary.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, guiding them through periods of cultural transition.
- Identify and manage potential resistance to change, developing mitigation strategies.
- Champion a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting BHP's values and principles.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in change management or organizational development roles, with a focus on culture.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large-scale cultural change programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to influence and inspire at all levels of an organization.
- Proficiency in change management methodologies (e.g., ADKAR, Prosci).
- Understanding of organizational psychology and human behavior in a corporate setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-site operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
- Prosci Certification or equivalent change management qualification.
- Experience in the mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
- Experience working with diverse workforces and remote teams.
