Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming emergency calls promptly and professionally.
- Assess situations quickly and accurately to determine the nature and urgency of the emergency.
- Provide clear, concise pre-arrival instructions to callers, including life-saving first aid guidance.
- Input critical information into computer-aided dispatch systems with accuracy and speed.
- Liaise effectively with ambulance crews and other emergency services.
- Maintain composure and empathy while dealing with distressed or emotional callers.
- Adhere strictly to all QAS policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Continuously learn and adapt to new information and changing scenarios during training and ongoing development.
