Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as a Grain Bin Sorter for casual seasonal work at our Hervey Bay facility. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and integrity of our grain stock during peak seasons. You will be involved in various tasks related to the sorting, cleaning, and general management of grain within storage bins. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Overtime opportunities will be available, especially during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual sorting and grading of grain to remove impurities and foreign materials.
- Operate basic grain handling equipment under supervision.
- Monitor grain quality and report any issues or anomalies.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of grain from bins and trucks.
- Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and site procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the grain storage areas.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Undertake general laboring tasks as required.
