Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual for the Public Service Transport – Infrastructure Focus role in Mount Isa. This position is central to the oversight and coordination of infrastructure-related activities within our public transport framework in the region. You will contribute to the planning, monitoring, and reporting of various infrastructure projects and maintenance initiatives, ensuring they align with our operational standards and strategic goals. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to public service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of infrastructure maintenance and upgrade projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and report on status to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections to assess infrastructure conditions and compliance with safety standards.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations related to infrastructure performance and future plans.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and external agencies on project requirements and operational impacts.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of infrastructure improvement strategies.
- Ensure all activities adhere to relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an infrastructure or project support role, preferably within transport.
- Strong understanding of project coordination principles and practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse groups.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience with railway infrastructure or large-scale public service projects.
- Familiarity with local government regulations and standards pertaining to infrastructure.
- Experience using project management software.
