Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and physically capable Marina Dockhand to join our team in Port Pirie. This is a customer-facing, manual role that requires a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of the marina, assisting boaters, and maintaining the docks and facilities. Full training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist boaters with docking and undocking, securing lines, and providing general assistance.
  • Operate and maintain marina equipment, including fuel pumps and utility hook-ups.
  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of docks, marina facilities, and grounds.
  • Monitor marina activities, ensure adherence to safety regulations, and report any issues.
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service, answering inquiries and providing local information.
  • Conduct daily dock checks, identify and report hazards or maintenance needs.
  • Assist with waste management and environmental best practices within the marina.
  • Participate in emergency response procedures as required.
  • Handle sales of ice, bait, and other marina store items.

  • Current Australian boat licence.
