Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Conference Assistant to join our vibrant corporate events team on the Gold Coast. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals who are eager to start a career in hospitality and event management. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of corporate conferences and events, providing essential support to our event managers and a seamless experience for our clients. A neat appearance and a professional demeanor are paramount for this role. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of meeting rooms and event spaces according to client specifications.
  • Greet and direct conference attendees, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Monitor event schedules and assist with audiovisual equipment setup and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all conference areas are kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout events.
  • Liaise with catering staff to ensure timely delivery and service of refreshments and meals.
  • Provide administrative support, including photocopying, distributing materials, and managing registrations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client and attendee requests and inquiries.

  • Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment setup.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift light equipment (up to 15 kg).
