Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of all passengers and crew members in accordance with aviation regulations and company procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including serving meals and beverages, assisting with seating, and addressing passenger needs.
- Conduct pre-flight checks of cabin equipment and ensure the cabin is prepared for boarding.
- Deliver clear and concise safety briefings to passengers.
- Manage in-flight sales and administer basic first aid when necessary.
- Handle unexpected situations with professionalism and efficiency, including medical emergencies and disruptive passenger behaviour.
- Collaborate effectively with the flight deck crew and ground staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold Qantas's brand image at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality, retail, or tourism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of people.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a calm demeanor under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and overnight stays away from home.
- Physically fit and able to meet the physical demands of the role (e.g., reaching, lifting, standing for extended periods).
- Current First Aid certificate and the ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC).
- Proficient in English (both written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a role requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Fluency in a second language.
- Tertiary qualification in hospitality, tourism, or a related field.
