Job Description
We are seeking highly motivated and physically fit individuals to join our team as a Seasonal Sugar Cane Hand for the upcoming harvest season in Mackay. This is a demanding yet highly rewarding role with significant earning potential for those committed to hard work and efficiency. As a Sugar Cane Hand, you will be an integral part of our harvesting operations, ensuring the efficient and safe collection of sugar cane. Full training will be provided to all successful candidates, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals new to the agricultural sector or those looking to leverage their strong work ethic in a seasonal capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the manual preparation and clearing of cane fields prior to harvest.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment for cane cutting and loading activities.
- Follow strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily harvesting targets.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and equipment.
- Perform general labouring tasks as required to support the harvest operation.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural, outdoor, or physically demanding labour roles (not essential as training is provided).
- Current First Aid certification.
