Job Description
Join Penske Truck Leasing as a Tractor Trailer Cabin Detailer, focusing on the meticulous cleaning and sanitization of the sleep and living areas within our fleet’s tractor trailer cabins. This crucial role ensures our drivers have a clean, comfortable, and hygienic environment, contributing significantly to their well-being and satisfaction. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, performing deep cleaning tasks, and ensuring all areas meet our stringent quality and safety protocols. This is an on-site position based in Santa Ana, CA, vital to our operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize all interior surfaces of tractor trailer cabins, with a specific focus on sleep areas, bunks, and adjacent living spaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors, removing dirt, dust, and debris.
- Clean and polish windows, mirrors, and interior chrome fixtures.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces, including steering wheels, dashboards, door handles, and control panels.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Replenish supplies as needed (e.g., air fresheners, cleaning wipes).
- Report any damage or maintenance issues observed during cleaning to the appropriate department.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work.
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of cleaning products and techniques.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in automotive detailing, janitorial services, or similar cleaning roles.
- Experience working with heavy vehicles or in a transportation environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
