Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Mailroom Assistant to join our team in Bundaberg. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to start their career in an office environment. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of mail, packages, and documents throughout our office, supporting our daily operations and contributing to a well-organized workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, faxes, and packages to appropriate departments and individuals.
  • Prepare outgoing mail, including franking, labeling, and arranging courier services.
  • Log and track incoming and outgoing parcels and registered mail.
  • Maintain the mailroom area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Operate mailroom equipment such as franking machines, scanners, and shredders.
  • Assist with basic office administrative tasks as required, such as photocopying and filing.
  • Ensure timely delivery and collection of internal mail between various departments.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding security and data handling.

  • Prior experience in a customer service or administrative role (even if not mailroom specific) is a plus but not required.
