Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Intelligence Lead to drive insights for our Corporate Strategy and Benefits division. This role is critical in transforming raw data into actionable intelligence, enabling informed decision-making across key strategic initiatives and employee benefits programs. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of robust BI solutions, dashboards, and reports that provide deep analytical insights into our corporate performance, market trends, and the effectiveness of our benefits offerings. The ideal candidate possesses a strong analytical mindset, exceptional technical skills, and the ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to senior stakeholders. This is an on-site role based in Port Lincoln, contributing directly to the strategic direction of ANZ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of advanced business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Collaborate with corporate strategy and HR benefits teams to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to corporate performance, market dynamics, and benefits utilization/impact.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all BI platforms and reports.
  • Develop and implement data governance best practices and quality assurance processes.
  • Present complex analytical findings and recommendations to senior management and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior BI analysts and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in business intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or similar role.
  • Proven expertise in developing and implementing BI solutions using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik Sense.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python, R) for advanced analytics.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, particularly with corporate strategy or HR benefits data.
  • Project management experience, especially in an agile environment.
