Job Description
Join the fresh food team at Woolworths Mount Isa as a Part-time Sandwich Hand. This role involves preparing delicious sandwiches, wraps, and other fresh food items for our customers, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, and contributing to a positive and efficient kitchen environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for food and customer service, ready to learn and grow within our team. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of sandwiches, wraps, and other fresh food items according to recipes and customer specifications.
- Ensure all food preparation areas are clean, hygienic, and organized at all times.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of ingredients, reporting shortages as needed.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as required, including cleaning and basic food preparation tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer requests and inquiries with a friendly and helpful attitude.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic understanding of food safety principles (training provided).
