Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Truck Offsider to join our dynamic team in Birmingham. This is an immediate start, full-time opportunity perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are looking for a hands-on role with direct impact. As a Truck Offsider, you will play a crucial role in assisting our drivers with the loading, unloading, and delivery of parcels, ensuring smooth and efficient operations. No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided for the right candidate who demonstrates a strong work ethic and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the truck driver with the safe and efficient loading and unloading of parcels and goods.
  • Help navigate routes and provide directions to the driver as needed.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made accurately and on schedule, adhering to company procedures.
  • Verify consignment details against delivery notes, checking for discrepancies or damage.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the truck and during loading/unloading operations.
  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and manual handling guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing DPD UK professionally.
  • Support the driver in daily tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
