Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dispatch Runner to join our logistics team in Goulburn on a casual day roster. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and timely flow of goods within our local operations, involving a variety of tasks from urgent deliveries to assisting with warehouse activities. If you have a strong work ethic, a valid driver’s license, and are looking for flexible work within a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute timely pick-ups and deliveries of goods, documents, and supplies within the Goulburn area and surrounding regions.
- Perform daily pre-start checks on company vehicles and ensure they are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles, ensuring secure and safe transport of items.
- Accurately complete all necessary dispatch and delivery documentation, including consignment notes and proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively with the dispatch team regarding delivery status, potential delays, or issues encountered.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service during interactions with clients and suppliers.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and road traffic regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid Australian C-class Driver's License (or equivalent)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 20kg
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable and punctual with a proactive attitude
- Good geographical knowledge of Goulburn and surrounding areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a courier, delivery, or logistics runner role
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one
- First Aid certificate
