Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Afternoon Pool Staff on a casual basis. This entry-level role is perfect for someone looking to contribute to their community, gain valuable experience in a recreational setting, and work flexible afternoon shifts. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our patrons, maintaining cleanliness standards, and assisting with general pool operations. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience in a similar role is necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise pool areas to ensure the safety of all patrons, particularly during peak afternoon hours.
  • Assist patrons with inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the pool deck, change rooms, and surrounding facilities.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations consistently and courteously.
  • Perform routine checks of equipment and report any maintenance issues.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures as required for afternoon shifts.
  • Respond effectively to minor incidents and provide basic first aid if necessary (training provided).

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in and around water.
  • Basic level of physical fitness to perform duties.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon employment).
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Familiarity with aquatic environments.
  • Pool Lifeguard Award (highly regarded but not essential for this entry-level role).
