Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME/AME) to join our maintenance team in Port Augusta, South Australia. This role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on our fleet of Fokker and Embraer aircraft. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the ongoing airworthiness and safety of our aircraft, adhering to CASA regulations and company procedures. You will work within a supportive team environment, contributing to the operational integrity of Alliance Airlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft components and systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of aircraft defects.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and record-keeping in accordance with CASA regulations and company standards.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, airworthiness directives, and maintenance manuals.
  • Participate in line and heavy maintenance activities as required.
  • Liaise with flight crew, operations, and other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient aircraft turnaround times.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and apprentices when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Valid CASA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (LAME) or AME certification.
  • Demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance, ideally on regional jets or similar aircraft types.
  • Thorough understanding of aviation regulations (CASA Part 42, Part 66).
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Type ratings on Fokker 100/70 or Embraer E190 aircraft.
  • Experience with maintenance software systems (e.g., AMOS, TRAX).
  • Experience working in a FIFO or regional aviation environment.
  • Current Dangerous Goods awareness training.
