Job Description

We are seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive Nanny / Mother’s Helper to provide flexible, part-time support to a local family in Wodonga. This role is ideal for someone passionate about childcare and eager to assist with various household tasks, offering valuable support to a busy household. You will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and organized environment for children and parents alike. This position offers varied hours to suit your schedule and is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a family’s daily life.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including playtime, reading, and creative arts.
• Assist with children's meal preparation and feeding, as well as light kitchen cleanup.
• Perform light household tasks such as tidying play areas, children's laundry, and organizing common spaces.
• Supervise children during homework or learning activities, providing encouragement and assistance.
• Assist with school pick-ups/drop-offs or other scheduled activities (driver's license preferred).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children.
• Communicate regularly and openly with parents regarding children's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
• Provide reliable and consistent care tailored to the family's specific needs and routines.

• Adaptability and flexibility to meet a family's evolving schedule and requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or as a mother’s helper (even informal experience with family or friends is highly valued).
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• A valid Australian Driver’s License and access to a reliable, safe vehicle.
• A current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain upon offer of employment).
• Positive references from previous childcare or caregiving roles demonstrating reliability and care.
