Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Architecture Draftsperson to join our dynamic team in San Antonio, TX. This position is open to qualified candidates who may require Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in transforming architectural concepts into precise technical drawings and documentation. You will work closely with architects and project managers, utilizing advanced CAD software to develop comprehensive plans, elevations, sections, and details for a diverse range of projects. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- Collaborate closely with architects and design teams to translate design intent into accurate and constructible technical documentation.
- Ensure all drawings and specifications adhere to local building codes, zoning regulations, and project requirements.
- Revise and update drawings based on design changes, client feedback, and construction progress.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, permit applications, and presentation materials.
- Maintain organized digital files and drawing archives, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Conduct site visits as needed to verify existing conditions and support construction administration.
- Support the architectural team in various capacities to meet project deadlines and objectives.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for architectural drafting.
- Strong understanding of architectural drafting principles, standards, and conventions.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural designs, specifications, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Eligibility for a Skilled Worker Visa and willingness to comply with application processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in architectural drafting, design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in an architectural drafting role.
- Experience with other design software such as SketchUp, Rhino, or Enscape.
- Familiarity with Texas building codes and local regulations.
- Experience working on a variety of project types (e.g., commercial, institutional, residential).
