Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audio Visual Lead to join our team in Rockingham, WA, specializing in corporate events. As an AV Lead, you will be responsible for the successful planning, setup, operation, and teardown of audio visual equipment for a diverse range of corporate events. You will lead a small team of technicians, ensure seamless execution, and provide exceptional technical support and client service. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership capabilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure every event is a success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of AV technicians during event setup, execution, and dismantle phases.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of all audio visual equipment, including sound systems, lighting, projectors, screens, video conferencing tools, and presentation software.
- Conduct pre-event site inspections and technical consultations with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, tested, and ready for deployment.
- Manage inventory and ensure proper handling and storage of AV equipment.
- Provide technical support and problem-solving during live events.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism and client service.
- Train and mentor junior AV technicians.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in audio visual technical roles, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
- Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting professional audio mixing consoles, lighting desks, video switchers, and projection systems.
- Strong understanding of signal flow, networking, and common AV industry protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced event environment.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, Dante, Crestron, Extron).
- Experience with virtual and hybrid event platforms.
- Formal qualification in Audio Visual technology, Sound Engineering, or related field.
- Experience working in a hotel conference environment or large-scale event venue.
