Are you a night owl with a passion for fresh bread? Bakers Delight in Fitzroy is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our night shift as a Bakery Production Hand. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn the art of baking from scratch, contributing to the creation of our signature products. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training for the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You’ll be part of a dedicated team, ensuring our shelves are stocked with warm, crusty bread and delectable pastries ready for our morning customers. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation of dough, including mixing, kneading, and shaping.
- Operating baking equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Monitoring baking processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Loading and unloading ovens.
- Packaging freshly baked goods for display and sale.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict hygiene standards.
- Following all health and safety regulations.
- Contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Required Skills
- Ability to work the night shift reliably (typically 9 PM – 5 AM).
- Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina, capable of standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights (up to 15-20kg).
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
