Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment for the sorting, crushing, and processing of various battery types (e.g., lithium-ion, lead-acid, alkaline).
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Conduct quality checks on incoming materials and outgoing recycled products.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery and work areas.
  • Identify and report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or process inefficiencies.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper storage and handling.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials processed and operational activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures diligently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good physical stamina and manual dexterity, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn equipment operation.
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or warehouse environment (not required, but a plus).
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry and record keeping.
